Website privacy
Your information. Handled with care.
This notice describes how this website and its inquiry tools handle your information.
Inquiry information
When you send the inquiry form, the details you enter (your name, work email, organization, country, area of interest, and message) are sent to Ortellis and stored so that we can respond. With them we record the page the form was sent from and the country the request came from. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry and to manage our relationship with you, and we do not sell it. Include only the information needed for an initial business conversation.
Your cookie choices
A bar along the foot of the site asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Accept turns them on. Decline opens three items and says what each one does: Necessary, and Page counts, without cookies, which are always on, and Analytics cookies, which are off unless you switch them on. You can reopen these choices at any time through Cookie settings in the footer.
Necessary
Your cookie choice is stored in your browser so that we do not ask again. It is not used for anything else. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes it, and the bar is then shown again.
Page counts, without cookies
The website keeps its own record of page views, whether or not you accept analytics cookies: the page, the time, the site you arrived from, any campaign tags in the link, the country, region, and city inferred by our hosting provider, the network, and the browser. A random identifier, kept only while the browser tab is open, groups the page views of one visit. Your IP address is not stored; a salted, one-way hash that changes every day is kept instead, so visits cannot be traced back to an address. Automated visitors such as search and AI crawlers are identified and recorded separately. These records set no cookie and are deleted after 400 days.
Analytics cookies
Google Analytics is loaded only if you accept analytics cookies, or switch them on in the cookie choices. It sets cookies that show us how visitors move through the site, with IP anonymization on and advertising features off. If you decline, it is not loaded. Your decision is recorded before Google Analytics is loaded: the decision, the time, the identifier of that visit, the daily hash of your IP address, and the browser. That record is kept for up to one year.
Website preferences
The website respects your device’s reduced-motion, reduced-transparency, and data-saving preferences when choosing how to display its films and materials. The homepage plays the waterfront film; scrolling through the About page controls the Earth sequence.
Hosting and external content
Fonts, imagery, and videos are served with the website. The website is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and secure it. The website carries no advertising tracking. Links to Humanely open its own website, which has its own policies.
